MAG Boxes by Infomir are dedicated IPTV set-top boxes designed specifically for streaming — faster, more stable, and with a better remote control experience than apps on Smart TVs or Firesticks. This guide covers how to configure any MAG Box model (254, 256, 322, 324, 349, 420, and more) with a StreamVault subscription using the Portal URL method.
Compatible MAG Box Models
This guide works for all current Infomir MAG Box models:
Any MAG Box that supports Stalker Portal or Portal URL login works with StreamVault. If your model isn't listed, it will still work as long as it supports portal URL configuration.
What You Need Before Starting
- MAG Box — any supported model listed above
- HDMI cable — to connect the MAG Box to your TV
- Internet connection — wired Ethernet is strongly recommended for best performance; Wi-Fi requires a USB Wi-Fi adapter on older models
- StreamVault Portal URL — sent to you via WhatsApp after you subscribe (looks like
http://server.com:port/c/) - MAG Box MAC address — found on the sticker underneath the box. You must provide this to StreamVault when subscribing so we can activate your account against your device
How to Find Your MAG Box MAC Address
Your MAG Box has two MAC addresses — WiFi MAC and Ethernet MAC. For a wired connection, use the Ethernet MAC.
- Method 1 — Physical sticker: Check the sticker on the bottom of your MAG Box. The MAC address is labelled "MAC" and looks like:
00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX - Method 2 — On screen: Power on the box → press Menu on the remote → go to Settings → System Information. The MAC address is displayed here.
- Method 3 — During boot: The MAC address also appears briefly on the loading screen when the MAG Box first boots up.
Step-by-Step MAG Box IPTV Setup (Portal URL)
Step 1 — Connect Your MAG Box
- Connect the MAG Box to your TV using an HDMI cable.
- Connect the Ethernet cable from your MAG Box to your router (strongly recommended over Wi-Fi).
- Plug in the power adapter and switch on the MAG Box.
- Switch your TV to the correct HDMI input. The MAG Box logo and loading screen will appear.
Step 2 — Access the Settings Menu
- Wait for the MAG Box to fully boot. If it asks for a portal, press the Menu button on the remote.
- Navigate to Settings using the arrow keys and press OK.
- Select System Settings → press OK.
- Go to Servers → Portals.
- After boot, press the Menu button on the remote.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Select System Settings.
- Navigate to Servers → Portals.
Step 3 — Enter Your StreamVault Portal URL
- In the Portal 1 URL field, enter your StreamVault portal URL exactly as provided in your welcome message.
- In the Portal 1 Name field, type any name (e.g. StreamVault).
- Leave Portal 2 blank unless you have a second subscription.
- Press OK or the Back button to save your settings.
/c/ (with the trailing slash). Missing this causes a "Portal Error" on boot. Copy and paste from your welcome message rather than typing it manually.Step 4 — Restart and Load Channels
- After saving, press the Back button to exit settings.
- Select Restart (or unplug/replug the power cable).
- The MAG Box will reboot and connect to the StreamVault portal automatically.
- Within 20–30 seconds, your full channel list will appear — live TV, VOD, and series.
Ethernet vs Wi-Fi on MAG Box
Wired Ethernet is strongly recommended for MAG Box streaming, especially for 4K and FHD content:
- Ethernet: Connect directly from the MAG Box's RJ45 port to your router. No configuration needed — the box auto-detects the connection.
- Wi-Fi on newer models (MAG 322+): Built-in Wi-Fi. Go to Settings → Network → Wi-Fi, select your network, and enter your password.
- Wi-Fi on older models (MAG 254/256): Requires a USB Wi-Fi adapter (not included). Plug into the USB port on the MAG Box, then configure under Settings → Network.
For any buffering issues on Wi-Fi, move the MAG Box closer to your router or use a powerline adapter for a stable wired-equivalent connection.
Troubleshooting Common MAG Box Issues
- "Stalker Portal" or portal error on boot: Check that the portal URL ends with
/c/. Also confirm your MAC address is registered with StreamVault. The subscription is MAC-locked. - Black screen after entering portal: Your internet connection may not have established yet. Wait 30 seconds and try rebooting. If using Wi-Fi, ensure the Wi-Fi is configured first.
- Channels not loading / spinning loader: Check your internet speed — a minimum of 20 Mbps is recommended for HD streaming. Try switching from Wi-Fi to Ethernet.
- Some channels show as unavailable: Occasional channels go offline for maintenance. The majority of your channel list will always be available. Contact StreamVault support if a large number of channels fail.
- MAG Box keeps buffering: In the MAG Box settings, go to Video Streaming → Buffer Size and increase it to 5–10 MB. Then retry the channel.
- EPG not loading: EPG data can take 2–3 minutes to populate on first setup. Leave the MAG Box running for a few minutes, then check again.
Frequently Asked Questions
http://your-server.com:port/c/ — enter this exactly in Portal 1 URL under MAG Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals./c/ and that your MAC address has been registered with StreamVault. If both are correct and the error persists, contact StreamVault support on WhatsApp with your MAC address and we'll check the account status.
